Shame

Posted by Ramatsu - November 17th, 2011

So for the passed 6 hours straight, I've been playing this videogame called Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, I can't believe I just wasted all that time playing that game when I could have done something productive. This is why I quit videogames in the 1st place. I Blame my girlfriend for even stating that I should play it. I'm Lecturing myself because I know I get addicted to this very easily.. Very ashamed..

I was really into video games myself up until I reached the age where I was either 14 or 15,Now I just give them maybe a few hours or so during the week right onto the point I can actually feel myself gradually getting bored of it, How concentrated are you in gaming?

Well if you get me to playing a game I could get hooked just like that, I don't play games much often. I was really into gaming 14-17 and just stopped completely once I hit 18 but that lasted for only a good half a year, then back to gaming just not as much. I found it was a waste Of time when I could be doing something productive. I was always the get up and go person anyway. I can say when I'm playing I can still get easily distracted just by someone saying something to me, so I wouldn't say that concentrated.

About the reply you've sent to me how does artist even a bad one automatically know what they want to do with there art without any of the extra Input of thought going behind it?

Can you call yourself an artist if you do not put any extra thought behind pieces that you work on, artists who are "bad" will automatically want to improve, it takes time and patience. Thought is always the 1st process before you even start putting anything down. I assume youre referring to yourself, can one be called an artist with out putting anytime(thoughts for this matter) into their creation? Can one be called a father without spending time with their children?

Think of it this way the more you spend time on it the better you get to know it, and how it turns out is totally on you. Put something up in the forums if you want to continue.
